A Passionate Journey Through Italy
Patrick Richmond Nicholas has lived and worked in Italy since the mid-1980s. First as a commercial photographer in Bologna and then as a photographic artist and photography teacher since moving to Orvieto in 2007 where he runs his own photography gallery.
He decided to create Orvieto Ramblings to promote the wonders of the area he has come to know so well since his first visit in 1985.
A native of Oxford, he studied for two years at Art School before graduating in Photographic Arts from the Polytechnic of Central London in 1977. He speaks Italian fluently and has amassed considerable knowledge about the art, culture and history of his adopted country.
